Capture checklist
Room-by-room inspection checklist
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This checklist is a simple RoomRecord capture workflow for common rooms and property areas. It is not legal, tenancy, financial, dispute resolution, or property advice.
Capture basics
- Start each room with one wide photo that shows the space.
- Add close-up photos for specific surfaces, fixtures, appliances, or built-ins.
- Use short notes that name the item or area shown in the photo.
- Review each room before exporting the report.
Common rooms
- Entry: door, lock area, walls, floor, and any storage.
- Kitchen: benches, sink, cooktop, oven, cabinets, splashback, and floor.
- Living and dining: walls, windows, flooring, lighting, and built-in fixtures.
- Bedrooms: walls, floors, wardrobes, windows, blinds, and lighting.
- Bathrooms and toilets: vanity, mirror, shower, bath, toilet, tiles, and ventilation.
- Laundry: sink, taps, cabinets, walls, floor, and appliance spaces.
- Outdoor areas: balcony, courtyard, garage, storage, doors, and visible surfaces.
Before export
Check that each photo is in the right room and that captions are easy to read. Then export the timestamped PDF rental condition report from RoomRecord.
This checklist is intentionally practical and product-focused. It does not cover rental rules, agreements, disputes, or decisions by third parties.
